Backend Developer

Responsibilities

A. Solution Development and Delivery

Assists in system design, coding, and testing of technical solutions. – Understands standard systems development lifecycle processes and applies our methodology effectively on client engagements.
Applies knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.
Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications
Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API
Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development

B. Project Execution

Understands project and development plans and is able to clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines
Ensure all designs produced deliver great user experience
Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans
Competency with Programming tools such as Sublime Text, Trello, Asana, etc
Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree/Master in Computer Science, or a similar relevant field
A minimum of one (2) year of experience in designing and developing websites and apps
A good understanding of frontend frameworks such as Bootstrap, Angular JS, Vue JS, Ionic etc
Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
Proficient in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery Expert
Experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, etc.)
Excellent relational database skills with MySQL
Experience with building restful JSON web services
Knowledge of API’s, such as twitter, Facebook, Google maps, Instagram, etc.
Understanding of responsive design frameworks such as bootstrap
